As a Smartcitizen, when you see an urban problem in Jakarta, don’t keep it in your heart. Especially if you already know and are familiar with the 13 official complaint channels owned by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. However, if this is your first time making a report, here’s a simple procedure for reporting a problem via the Citizen Relation Management or CRM complaint channels.

Reporting via JAKI App

Through the JakLapor feature in the Jakarta Kini (JAKI) superapp, you can aim your camera at the problem or violation that you want to report. In simple terms, how to report via JakLapor at JAKI ar as follows:

  • Open JAKI (you can download it onPlay Store orApp Store if you don’t have it)
  • Tap the camera icon at the bottom center of Home
  • Choose a Private or Public report — it is recommended to choose a private one, yes
  • Aim the camera at the problem to take a photo of the report
  • Select or search for a problem category
  • Describe the problem that was reported. For example what is the problem or what violation occurred in the photo
  • Include a location knowpoint. Even though JAKI is equipped with geotagging capabilities , descriptions of identification points or benchmarks will be very helpful for officers
  • If so, submit a report and you’re done!

At JAKI, your name and identity are anonymous. This means that even the report follow-up officer will not know your identity. But stay alert and be careful when taking report photos, OK? Also remember that you are prohibited from taking pictures of reports that contain personal or sensitive information, either your own or someone else’s.

Social Media Channels

You already know that apart from JAKI, CRM also has other channels, one of which is social media channels such as Twitter and Facebook. To report via this channel, you can choose an account, for example Twitter @dkijakarta or DKI Jakarta Provincial Government’s Facebook or Governor/Deputy Governor’s social media.

Even though it looks easy and simple, there are several procedures that you should pay attention to, including:

  • Describe your report clearly. Since there are social media channels that have a limited number of character descriptions (Twitter), then just tell me the essence of the problem you are reporting, OK?

  • Include the location and location identification points so that officers can easily find them

  • If there are report photos it would be better, especially report photos that contain problems and location points

  • If you want to report privately, send a report via the Direct Message or Message feature, OK? Meanwhile, if you don’t mind if other people see your report, feel free to mention it directly

  • When your report has been received, you will get a reply in the form of a report number. So, please remember this report number and please monitor the progress of the follow-up of the problem viacrm.jakarta.go.id , OK?

Face to Face Channels

Do you prefer to chat directly with officers to share your reports or have difficulties using smartphone-based channels? Don’t worry! DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also has a face-to-face complaint channel that is ready to serve you at government offices, such as the Inspectorate Office, Mayor’s Office, District Office, Village Office, to DKI Jakarta City Hall.

The face-to-face channel was created to provide access to residents who have difficulty accessing technology-based channels so that all levels of society have many options to report. In addition, it is hoped that the CRM complaint channel can fulfill the spirit of inclusivity in Jakarta by providing a choice of channels for various preferences and abilities of residents. To report on the face-to-face channel, you need to follow the following steps:

  • Select the government office you want to visit. As a tip to make it easier, choose one that is close to home

  • Prepare supporting documents, for example evidence of problems to be reported. You can also bring photo evidence to support your report

  • Come according to operating hours and avoid coming too late

  • Describe the problem you are reporting in detail and follow the officer’s directions

  • Just like reports on social media channels, you will also get a report number as a reference number to check the follow-up of your report atcrm.jakarta.go.id .

As additional information, the face-to-face complaint channel has its own operating hours. Please contact the respective channels to ask about operating hours, OK?

Other Channels

Apart from the channels mentioned above, CRM also has other channels that you can use to report, namely

  • Email to dki@jakarta.go.id

  • SMS to 0811272206

  • Report! 1708

  • Mass Media Public Aspirations

In general, the procedures for reporting on these four channels are the same as for the other channels. It is strongly recommended that you provide a detailed and clear description of the problem and include the location of the incident and identify the location. For email channels, if you have supporting photos or videos, you can also attach them.

Easy and lots of choices, right? The report that you make will help DKI Pemprov in protecting our city. Come on, let’s actively participate in building and maintaining the city by reporting problems through the Rapid Response Community complaint channel.
