The Future City Hackathon is a competition that aims to engage local innovators in solving Jakarta's urban difficulties, catalyzing digital change, and collaborating with the Jakarta Provincial Government to improve citizens' services.

The Innovation We Seek

This year, Future City Hackathon is seeking digital innovations to drive Jakarta's transformation into a global city based on global city index including:

Business Activity

Development of innovations to enhance business licensing convenience, foster inclusive economic growth, promote green jobs, and create a conducive business environment in Jakarta.

Human Capital

Development of innovations to enhance digital literacy, increase interest in reading and research, promote science and knowledge, and provide ongoing programs for startup innovators.

Information Exchange

Development of innovations to improve free internet connectivity, promote openness and truth in information, optimize ICT (Information & communications technology) infrastructure, and enhance business networking connectivity.

Political Engagement

Development of innovations to enhance public participation, optimize public services, and create a supportive climate for think tanks and research groups.

Cultural Experience

Development of innovations to optimize cultural experiences, streamline cultural activity permits, promote local and national cultural education, and offer one-stop services for tourists.
