The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government keeps doing various ways and supports to help accelerate the recovery process of the Covid-19 pandemic, one of which is through providing the second booster vaccine. Since January 2022, the booster vaccination program has been carried out in stages. This is in line with the central government policy which makes booster vaccines one of the mandatory requirements for long trips.

Now, the second booster vaccination is available and can be given to the public. This is stated in Circular Letter Number HK.02.02/C/380/2023 stipulated by the Director General of Disease Prevention and Control of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia on January 20, 2023.

This second booster vaccine is useful to help strengthen our body’s resistance to Covid-19 for longer so that it can minimize the risk of severe illness, hospitalization, and reduce mortality.

Booster Vaccination at JAKI

This second booster Covid-19 vaccination is given to those of you who are 18 years old and above, and have passed the six-month period since the first booster vaccination. Covid-19 survivors can also take this second booster, provided that they have passed the three-month period since being treated or one month since showing minor symptoms. As for pregnant women, the booster vaccine can be injected after the gestational age is above 13 weeks. Vaccination is carried out at healthcare facilities or available Covid-19 vaccination service posts.

In collaboration with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office, JAKI has the JakSehat feature. This feature provides a variety of health facilities needed by the public, ranging from emergency ambulance services, and queuing health facilities (faskes), to Covid-19 vaccinations.

Not only that, if you are already scheduled for vaccination and get a ticket, then you can immediately re-schedule for the second booster vaccination through the JakHealth feature in the Covid-19 Vaccine section.

Check the Quota and Vaccination Schedule

Before registering, it is better to check the Covid-19 vaccination quota and schedule first, which you can do through the Jakarta Tanggap Covid-19 website. So, here’s how you can do it.

1. Open the website corona.jakarta.go.id;

2. In the header section, select the “Vaccination” menu and click the “JAKI Vaccination Quota” dropdown;

3. You will arrive at the “JAKI Vaccination Scheduling Facility Monitoring Dashboard”.

4. In this dashboard, scroll down, then you can see various information about vaccine doses, vaccine quotas per region or location, and statistics on registrants through JAKI.

After you check the availability of the quota, you can immediately register. It’s quite easy to do. Just use the JAKI application. So, you don’t need to bother leaving the house to stand in line and can immediately register to be vaccinated. Just follow the steps below.

How to Register for the Second Booster via the JAKI App

1. Open the JAKI application;
2. Scroll down to the “Jakarta Sehat” menu;
3. Select the “Covid-19 Vaccine” icon;
4. Enter your NIK, full name according to your KTP, and click “Check”;
5. If you are allowed to get a booster dose, a display will appear “Can Register for Vaccination Dose 4”;
6. Click “Register for the Fourth Vaccination” to see the schedule and location of the vaccination that Smartcitizen wants;
7. Fill in the category and select the available schedule and location, then click next;
8. Complete your identity and address to finish.

After completing the registration process, you will receive proof of registration that you need to present at the health facility later.
