Key JAKI Features for Air Pollution Mitigation

Ranging from air quality monitoring to promoting the use of public transportation, the JAKI application offers valuable tools to contribute to the improvement of air quality. Below, we delve into these features and their respective roles in this collective endeavor.

Air Quality

The Air Quality Feature or what was known in the previous version of JAKI as JakISPU, is a feature that can help you find out the latest air quality in Jakarta. In this feature, you will be shown a map of DKI Jakarta along with points from each administrative area. There is also information on the Maximum Air Pollution Standard Index for each of these areas.

To access the Air Quality feature, you just have to open JAKI, click All in the features section, scroll the Featured tab until you get the Air Quality feature. Apart from that, you can also find its features on the Category tab, then click the Environment category. The Air Quality feature is there along with other environmental-related features.

Register and get emission test results

Have you tested your vehicle's emissions? If not, JAKI has a feature that you can use to access motorized vehicle emission test services, starting from registering, and checking locations, to viewing emission test results. You can access this service through the Register and get emission test results features.

To access it, open the JAKI application, click All in the features section, select the Category tab. Click the Environment category. Only then will you find the Register and get emission test results features. After clicking on it, you will be directed to three service options, namely Cek Hasil Uji Emisi (Check Emission Test Results), Lokasi Tempat Uji Emisi (Emission Test Locations), and Pemesanan Uji Emisi (Register for Emission Test). Choose a service based on the information you want. By carrying out a vehicle emission test, you can find out the level of hazardous substances produced by your motorized vehicle.

Citizen Report

Maybe you are one of the Smartcitizens who have used the Citizen Report feature to report problems in Jakarta. So, you can also use this feature to report actions that worsen air quality in Jakarta, for example burning garbage.

To report an act of indiscriminate burning of waste through the Citizens Report feature, you can open the JAKI application and click on the Citizens Report feature which is in the features section on the Homepage. Next, follow the directions on the feature. Don't forget, select the category according to the report, OK? For burning waste, you can use the Sampah (Garbage) and Pencemaran Lingkungan (Environmental Pollution) categories.

Public Transport

Who has started taking public transportation as an alternative to private vehicles? If you are one of them, the Public Transport feature in JAKI can help you plan a trip with transportation. Through this feature, Smartcitizens can find out the routes, schedules, and fares of public transportation under the auspices of PT JakLingko, namely MRT Jakarta, LRT Jakarta, TransJakarta, and MikroTrans.

To access this feature, you only need to open the JAKI application and click on the Public Transport feature in the features section on the homepage. Four available public transportation options will appear. Select the service you want to access its information for. Then, schedule information, routes, and transportation fares will appear.
