About Second Booster Vaccines and Vaccination Registration

The questions below cover the topics of booster vaccines and vaccination registration, both general and JAKI-based registration.

  1. Are residents with non-DKI KTP allowed to register for a second booster vaccination?

Yes, they are. Currently, registration for vaccination through JAKI is open for residents who live inside and outside Jakarta. Foreign citizens (WNA) can also get a second booster vaccine, but first they have to file for a vaccination ticket to the PeduliLindungi website and attach their passports and residence permit documents.

  1. Is registration for the second booster vaccination through JAKI free?

Yes, you can book your vaccination for all doses through JAKI without having to pay for it. 

  1. What types of second booster vaccines are available in Jakarta?

As of now, the type of vaccine for the second booster that is available in Jakarta are Pfizer and Zifivax. However, you can check the availability of the type of vaccine you book through JAKI at each vaccination site via the JAKI Vaccination Quota pageon the Jakarta Responsive Covid-19 website.

  1. Why do we need a second booster vaccination?

As is well known, the first booster vaccination (3rd dose) was carried out in early 2022. Thus, the efficacy of the first booster vaccine may have decreased over time. The second booster vaccine will help increase this efficacy by enhancing the body's immunity against the Covid-19 disease. The second booster vaccine is also useful for reducing the risk of serious illness, hospitalization, and also death from Covid-19.

  1. When is the right time to get the second booster vaccine?

The second booster vaccine (dose 4) is allowed to be injected after a minimum of 6 months from the first booster vaccine injection (dose 3).

  1. Can Covid-19 survivors receive a second booster vaccination?

New Covid-19 survivors may receive a second booster vaccine 3 months after being hospitalized or 1 month for survivors with mild symptoms.

  1. How to check the location of the second booster vaccination?

You can check the location of the vaccination, both the second booster and other doses which are registered through JAKI application via the Jakarta Responsive Covid-19 website. Here's how to access it.

  • Open the Jakarta Response Covid-19 website;
  • Click the Vaccination menu;
  • Then, select the Kuota Vaksinasi JAKI (JAKI Vaccination Quota) sub-menu;
  • On the Detail Data Lokasi Vaksinasi (Vaccination Location Data Details) dashboard, use the Nama Lokasi Vaksinasi (Vaccination Location Name) filter feature to view and select the desired vaccination location;

  • Information on the date schedule, start time, finish time, total quota, remaining quota, region, sub-district, village, type of vaccine, and dose of each vaccination at that location will appear.

  1. Can I register for a second booster vaccination through JAKI if I haven't received a second booster vaccination ticket at PeduliLindungi but it's been 6 months since the first booster vaccination?

One of the current requirements for registering for vaccination at JAKI is having an e-ticket from PeduliLindungi. If you don't have an e-ticket, please contact PeduliLindungi to update your data.

  1. How do I change the vaccination schedule at JAKI?

We are sorry to announce that it is currently not possible to change the vaccination schedule at JAKI. If you want to book vaccination on another day, please re-register on D+1 from the previously selected vaccination schedule you would not attend.

  1. What if I have registered for vaccination at JAKI but am rejected at the vaccination site or quota is not available?

If you are rejected at the vaccination site or health facility, please report it via email via dki@jakarta.go.id by including:

  • Name;
  • Resident Identification Number (NIK);
  • Vaccination Location;
  • Vaccination Date

as well as attach:

  • proof of vaccination registration through JAKI; and
  • ID Card photo

Your complaint will be forwarded to and processed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office so your appointment at the nearest vaccination location can be rescheduled.
