Celebrating Jakarta with Public Transport
Numerous events have taken place to commemorate Jakarta's 496th Anniversary! Have you had the chance to attend any of them? If you're planning to visit using public transportation, here's a concise summary of the available routes. Let's have a closer look!
Jakarta Fair Kemayoran
As in previous years, except when during the Covid-19 period, the Jakarta Fair is going to be held at JiExpo Kemayoran. The event will be held from 14 June to 16 July 2023. If you want to visit, here are several public transportation options along with routes you can take.
By KRL Commuter Line
If you are coming from Bogor Station or Depok Station, try taking the KRL for Jakarta Kota. Then, get off at Manggarai and continue the journey by taking the train to Bekasi Station. Get off at Rajawali Station or Kemayoran Station. Next, you can follow the same steps as when you arrive at Rajawali or Kemayoran Stations by taking the KRL from Jakarta Kota.
Are you coming from Tangerang Station? You need to transit first at Duri Station. Then, take the train to Manggarai Station. After arriving in Manggarai, take the train bound for Bekasi, and get off at Rajawali Station or Kemayoran Station. You can take the next trip by taking public transportation or walking like when coming from Jakarta Kota.

You can also go to JIExpo Kemayoran by taking the MRT! To do this, get off at Bendungan Hilir MRT Station, then walk to the Karet Sudirman Transjakarta stop. From there, take Transjakarta Corridor 1 towards the Monas (National Monument). Then, continue the journey by taking the Transjakarta 2C to JIExpo Kemayoran.

Transjakarta opened a special route to the Jakarta Fair. The following are Transjakarta routes that you can take:
PRJ 1: PGC-stop 2 JIExpo Kemayoran
PRJ 2: New Matraman - JIExpo Kemayoran
PRJ 3: Pulo Gadung 1-JIExpo Kemayoran
2C: City Hall-JIExpo Kemayoran
The operational hours of Transjakarta with the route to the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2023 follow the operational hours of the Jakarta Fair, as follows:
Monday-Friday: 3 p.m-11 p.m
Saturday-Sunday: 9 am-12 a.m
Indonesia Comic Con Pop Asia
Indonesia Comic Con Pop Asia is a platform to enjoy pop culture for fans of comics, anime, and toys. The event will be held on 23-25 June 2023 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) located on Jalan Jendral Gatot Subroto, Gelora Village, Tanah Abang District, Central Jakarta. To go to JCC, the following public transportation routes can be the alternatives.
By KRL Commuter Line
Karet Station is the closest KRL station from JCC. Therefore, if you depart from Bogor, you can get off at Manggarai Station first. Then, take the KRL for Tanah Abang or Jatinegara Station and get off at Karet Station. From Karet Station, you can continue your journey by taking an online motorcycle taxi. If you are coming from Bekasi, you can take the KRL bound for Kampung Bandan Station. Get off at Karet Station and continue your journey to JCC.

Can I go to JCC by MRT? Yes, you can! Get off at Istora Mandiri Station. Once you arrive, walk on foot to JCC for about 1 kilometer. Another option is to take an online motorcycle taxi.
Monas Week
Monas Week is an event that aims to promote the economy and creative tourism. The activities that are usually held such as fountains and music shows. To celebrate this year’s Jakarta's anniversary, Monas Week will be held on 20-25 June 2023 at the National Monument (Monas). To go to the location, you can choose one of the following options.
By KRL Commuter Line
For those of you coming from Bogor Station, take the KRL with the final destination of Jakarta Kota Station. Get off at Gondangdia Station. There, you can take an online motorcycle taxi with a distance of about two kilometers. If you are coming from Bekasi Station, take the KRL to Manggarai Station. Afterward, take the KRL to Jakarta Kota Station and get off at Gondangdia Station. Continue the journey to Monas using an online motorcycle taxi. If you’re coming from Tangerang Station, make a transit at Duri Station. Then, take the KRL to Manggarai Station. After getting off at Manggarai, take another KRL bound for Jakarta Kota Station and get off at Gondangdia Station. Arriving at Gondangdia, then you can continue your journey to Monas with an online motorcycle taxi.

If you want to go to Monas by taking the MRT, you can get off at the Bundaran HI MRT Station. Then, you can continue your journey to Monas by taking the Transjakarta 1P and getting off at the IRTI bus stop. Once you have arrived at the IRTI bus stop, you can walk to Monas.

Another option for visiting Monas by public transportation is to use Transjakarta. The following is the Transjakarta route to Monas.
Corridor 1: City - Blok M
Corridor IA: Maju Beach- City Hall
Corridor 9B: Pinang Ranti - Kota
Kota Tua Community Parade
This parade will be held on 24 June 2023 in Kota Tua. Kota Tua itself is located in Pinangsia, Tamansari, West Jakarta. To visit Kota Tua, here are public transportation options along with the routes you can take.

Jakarta Kota Station is the closest station to Kota Tua, only 100 meters away. So, for those of you who are coming from Bekasi, you need to get off at Manggarai Station, then take the KRL again to go to Jakarta Kota Station. If you are coming from Bogor or Depok, you can get off directly at the final destination, Jakarta Kota Station. If coming from Tangerang Station, you need to get off at Duri Station, then take the train to Manggarai Station. From Manggarai Station, take the train with the final destination to Jakarta Kota Station.

Kota Tua Bus Stop is the closest Transjakarta bus stop to Kota Tua. Those of you who come from South Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and West Jakarta, can take Corridor 1 (Blok M-Kota). Another option is Transjakarta corridor 1A (Maju Beach-City Hall) for those coming from North Jakarta. For those of you who are coming from North Jakarta, you can take Transjakarta corridor 1A (PIK - City Hall). If you are coming from East Jakarta, take corridor 9 (Pinang Ranti - Pluit) and get off at the Semanggi bus stop. Cross the road until you arrive at the Bendungan Hilir Transjakarta bus stop. From the bus stop, take the Transjakarta Corridor 1 and get off at the Kota Tua Bus Stop. After arriving at the Kota Tua Bus Stop, you can walk just 550 meters.
Jakreatifest
Jakreatifest is a creative festival from Jakarta for Indonesia organized by Bank Indonesia. This festival will be held on June 16-18 at Taman Anggrek Mall. For those of you who want to visit, this is a public transportation option that can be used.

If you are coming from Bekasi, take the train to Duri Station. After you have arrived at Duri Station, take the train to Tangerang Station and then get off at Grogol Station. If you are coming from Bogor or Depok, you can take a train that can take you to Manggarai Station. Then, take the train to Duri Station. At Duri Station, take the train bound for Tangerang Station, and get off at Grogol Station. Are you coming from Jakarta Kota Station? Make a transit at Manggarai Station, then take the train to Duri Station. At Duri Station, get on a train that can take you to Tangerang Station to then get off at Grogol Station. If you have arrived at Grogol Station, you can take an online motorcycle taxi or take the Transjakarta route Pluit-Pinang Ranti to Taman Anggrek Mall.

If you are coming from South Jakarta, you can take Transjakarta Corridor 9 (Pinang Ranti-Pluit) or Corridor 9E (Pasar Kebayoran Lama-Jelambar). Then, get off at the S. Parman Podomoro City Transjakarta bus stop. If you are coming from East Jakarta and West Jakarta, take the Transjakarta corridor 9K (Kampung Rambutan-Grogol 2) or corridor 3F (Kalideres-GBK), then get off at the S. Parman Podomoro City stop.
Coming from North Jakarta? Take corridor 9A (PGC-Pluit) and leave at the S. Parman Podomoro City stop. If you are coming from Central Jakarta, then take corridor 8A (Juanda-Grogol 2). The S. Parman Podomoro City stop is located across from Taman Anggrek Mall, so when you get there, you only need to walk 400 meters to reach your destination.
