Entering the new 2024/2025 academic year, school bus services provide a breath of fresh air for parents in Jakarta. How could they not? School buses can facilitate students' mobility to and from school while also helping reduce the traffic congestion often experienced by parents on the roads.

School Buses Operational Hours

In Jakarta, there are 32 school buses with regular routes and 15 school buses with zoned routes. To ensure the comfort of the students, school buses operate in three time slots:

  • Morning: 05:30 - 07:00 WIB
  • Afternoon: 11:00 - 16:00 WIB
  • Evening: 17:00 - 18:30 WIB

Regular School Bus Routes in Jakarta

School buses with regular routes consist of 32 buses. Here are a few of them:

Route 01 Starts from Lapangan Banteng to Galur and then to P. Kemerdekaan, passing several schools and important areas in Central Jakarta. The schools along this route include:

  • SMKN 3
  • SMKN 54
  • SMA Taman Madya 1
  • SMPN 78
  • SMP Muhammadiyah 2
  • SDN Gunung Sahari Selatan
  • SMAN 1 Budi Utomo

Route 05 Starts from Lapangan Banteng to Kampung Melayu, TMII, and then to Ceger. This route passes through East Jakarta, covering the following schools:

  • SD Harapan Prestasi
  • SMAN 14

Route 07 Serves South Jakarta. From Pasar Minggu, Ranco, Lenteng Agung, to the University of Indonesia. This route passes the following schools:

Route 20 Serves West Jakarta from Kemanggisan to Daan Mogot. The schools passed by this route are as follows:

Zoned school bus routes consist of 15 routes. One of them is Route 09, which passes through North Jakarta from Rorotan to Marunda. The schools covered by this route include:

  • MI Arruhaniyah Rorotan

Additionally, Zoned School Bus Routes have two new routes: Route 14 and Route 15.

Route 14 Serves the Cijantung, Pekayon, and Kalisari areas, passing the following schools:
