Starting June 7, the acceptance of new students has been opened. There are various admission pathways for prospective students from elementary, junior and senior high school/vocational levels, such as affirmation path, zoning path, achievement path, and the transfer of parental and teacher's duties. Among the many paths, there are interesting differences within the achievement paths. What are they?

Quota and Selection Process

The achievement path is intended to give appreciation to children who have shown academic achievement as well as non-academic achievements. It also pays attention to the overall development of students by taking into account the index of academic and non-academic achievements. The full stipulation of the selection process is as governed on SK Kadis No. 466 of 2021regarding the PPDB Process for the 2021/2022 academic year.

Types of Achievement

On the academic achievement path, indicators are viewed based on academic scores at the highest average score at a certain level, school accreditation, and certain subjects. For junior high school level, it will be based on the average score from the grade 4, grade 5, and grade 6 of semester 1 for these subjects: Citizenship Education (PKn), Bahasa Indonesia, Mathematics, and Natural Sciences. For the high school level, it will be based on the average score from the grade 7, grade 8, and grade 9 grade 1 grades for these subjects: Citizenship Education (PKn), Bahasa Indonesia, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and English.

On the non-academic achievement path, assessment indicators are based on achievements in championships or competitions in the fields of Sports, Arts, Religion, Culture, Science and Technology, Scouts, Paskibra (flag hoisting troops), or PMR (youth red cross member) organized by the parent official organization. In addition, non-academic achievements are also seen based on the leadership experience in the student organizations such as OSIS, MPK, or other extracurricular activities groups.

Quota

The achievement path was opened for prospective students who apply for the junior high, senior high school, and vocational school level. The quota of junior high and senior high school level for academic achievement path is 18% of school capacity, and for non-academic achievement path is opened by 5%. Meanwhile, at vocational school level, the quota of academic achievement path is 50% of school capacity while non-academic achievement path is 5%. This indicates that the academic achievement path has a higher acceptance quota than the non-academic achievement path.

Selection

If the number of registrants exceeds the school capacity, the selection process will be done as follows.

  • For those who register through the academic achievement path, then the selection is done based on this order: starting from the total weighting of the academic achievement index, the order of school choice, and the time of registration.
  • For those who register through the non-academic achievement path, then the selection is done in this order: starting from the total weighting of the non-academic achievement index, the order of school choice, and the time of registration.

The registration window for academic and non-academic achievement path is taking place from 7-11 June 2021 through PPDB DKI Jakarta 2021 websiteand get latest information about PPDB on JAKI, download it from Google Play Storeor App Store.
