The Covid-19 pandemic began to hit Jakarta in early 2020. In fact, until now the status of the Covid-19 pandemic has not been revoked even though life has gradually implemented a new normal. In this emergency situation, Jakarta Smart City, which is the laboratory for digital innovation in Jakarta, strives to develop new innovations that can help deal with the pandemic better.

When the pandemic comes, JSC swiftly created a Covid-19 information site, corona.jakarta.go.id. The website received a tremendous response from residents who felt helped by the information provided. Over time, the website was also integrated with JAKI as Jakarta's superapp. Various features of JAKI continue to be developed to support better handling of the pandemic. Call it JakLapor, which can be a feature for reporting residents who want to report violations of PPKM (Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities). Thanks to these many innovations, whether related to Covid-19 or not, Jakarta Smart City has won many awards from national and international levels in the 2020-2022. What are the rewards? Awards of 2020: From IdenTIK to IGA

In 2020, JAKI, the Jakarta superapp, was chosen as the first winner in the Public Sector category at the 2020 Indonesian Entrepreneur Selected Work (IdenTIK) event from the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo).

Not only that, thanks to the sharing of digital transformation efforts carried out by Jakarta, Jakarta also won 3 awards at the same time at the Top Digital Awards 2020, those are Top Digital Implementation 2020 on Province Government Level Stars 5, Top Digital Transformation Readiness 2020, Top Leader on Digital Implementation 2020 .

The award in 2020 was closed by the awarding of the Innovative Government Awards 2020 by the Ministry of Home Affairs to the Jakarta Provincial Government, because Jakarta is considered capable of creating the latest innovations, especially in the field of public services. 

Awards 2021: Number of Awards Increase

It turns out that 2020 has not yet become the peak of the increasing number of awards received by JSC. In 2021, various digital innovations developed by JSC will receive even more recognition and awards.

JAKI as JSC's pride product won an international award at the prestigious WSIS Prizes 2021 as Runner Up WSIS Prizes 2021 in the field of E-Government. Other international awards were also received by JSC from the IDC Awards 2021 as the Best Future of Digital Innovation and from the ASEAN ICT Forum which awarded JAKI a gold medal in the Public Sector AICTA 2021 category. AICTA also gave an award to the Governor of DKI Jakarta for the 2021 Top Digital Implementation category.

Then, the Human Entrepreneur Awards 2021 held by the Markplus Institute awarded 2 gold medals for the Covid-19 Handling Campaign and Jakarta's JAKI. In addition, in Indonesia Entrepreneur ICT 2021, JSC managed to get the Runner Up position for JakLapor–privacy by default and the top 5 selected works for digital vaccination passports. 

In contrast to 2020 when Jakarta received 3 awards from the Top Digital Awards, in 2021 Jakarta won 4 awards at the same time at the award event for Top Leader on Digital Implementation 2021, Top CIO, Top Digital in Public Service & Smart City, and Top IT Manager.
 

2022 Award: Flood Control System Becomes The Center of Attention

The year 2022 is only halfway through, but a series of awards have been obtained by Jakarta Smart City. If in 2021, JSC only took the Runner up position, in 2022, JSC managed to get the Champion title in the E-Science category thanks to the presence of the newly developed Flood Control System.

The Flood Control system also received the Winner title in the Public Safety–Next Generation Emergency Services category at the IDC Scapa event. In this event, JAKI also entered the top 5 in the Pandemic Management category.

The national awards won by JSC this year are the 4th Top 51 Public Service Complaint Management Competition (P4) in 2022 and Top 99 Public Service Innovation Competitions for Public Service Innovations in Ministries/Agencies, Local Governments, BUMN, and BUMD in 2022 which are held by Kemenpan RB.

Lastly, JAKI from JSC also received the Digital Innovation Awards 2022 in the category of Digital Innovation for Disaster Risk Reduction by MNC Portal Indonesia. Half a year is still left in 2022, hopefully JSC can continue to reap achievements in 2022.

Of course, these awards are not the end point for complacency. The existence of this award is fuel of enthusiasm for Jakarta Smart City to be able to create further digital innovations for the progress of a better Jakarta and happier citizens. Let's wait for the latest innovations from JSC.
