Jakarta Wins Top Awards For JAKI's Innovation
Good news for Jakarta residents! The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government won the Top 45 (Commended) Public Service Innovation Award in 2022 at the Public Service Innovation Competition (KIPP). This award was received thanks to the JAKI Innovation in the Integration of Digital Transformation of Public Services towards Achieving Sustainable Development Goals in DKI Jakarta. Head of Jakarta Smart City, Yudhistira Nugraha, attended the Joint Awarding of Public Service and Bureaucratic Innovation 2022 from the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN RB) on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Bidakara Hotel, South Jakarta.
“This award is proof that digital transformation can build a sustainable ecosystem in creating efficiency and effectiveness in public services. Hopefully this achievement will be a motivation to optimize digital transformation again, both in Jakarta and other regions.” Yudhistira said.
What is the Public Service Award?
In encouraging more impactful bureaucratic reforms, the Ministry of PANRB has made a number of breakthroughs in implementing bureaucratic reforms and improving the quality of public services. Innovative public service efforts are competed to create a culture of innovation in all ministries/agencies and local governments.
This year, the Ministry of PANRB organized a series of events, such as the Public Service Award, Symbolic Submission of Regional Government Bureaucratic Reform Evaluation Results, Regional Government Agency Performance Accountability, and the 2022 Integrity Zone Award, with the theme “Improving the Quality of Public Services and Bureaucratic Reform Towards a World Class Bureaucracy”.
JAKI Innovation Receives Top Commendation
Through the KIPP event from the Ministry of PANRB, the JAKI Innovation journey on Public Service Digital Transformation Integration initially made it into the Top 99 Public Service Innovations 2022 and was the only one representing DKI Jakarta Province.
After selection, JAKI finally became part of the Top 45 (Commended) Public Service Innovations in the Public Service Innovation Award. Various innovations that create efficiency have been made by JAKI, such as 179,123 problem reports as of December 6 at 12.30 WIB entered through JakLapor and 31 new features have been integrated in 2022.
More than 800 thousand people have downloaded JAKI in 2022. Meanwhile, the number of people who registered for Covid-19 vaccination through JAKI reached more than 800 thousand registrants. This proves that JAKI is able to provide innovations that help the community. In the future, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is committed to continuing to develop the JAKI application, so that it can support the needs of the community digitally.
Jakarta Wins Two Awards in a Week
JAKI’s achievement this time is the second award won by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in the category of digital transformation of public services in the past week. On December 1, 2022, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also won the Indonesian Digital Competitiveness Appreciation in the Best Practices East Venture-Digital Competitiveness Index (EV-DCI) category at the Regional Summit 2022. This category is special, because it is given to regions that consistently rank first in the EV-DCI. This event is an annual agenda of Katadata Insight Center (KIC) East Ventures that has been running since 2020.
