Health is the foundation of prosperous people. As a smart city, easy access to healthcare services is essential for Jakarta. The Jakarta Provincial Government continues to make efforts so that we can all benefit, such as the free healthcare services available through JAKI. Additionally, there are other types of services provided in Jakarta. Check out this article to learn more!

Healthcare Services on JAKI

 

Ambulance

You can call a free ambulance using the Ambulance feature. Please use it responsibly and only in emergency situations, OK? This feature is available throughout Jakarta. Here’s how to use it:

  1. turn on location services on your device so the ambulance staff can find you;

  1. open JAKI and type “Ambulance” in the search bar; and

  1. press and hold the red “EMERGENCY” button for 3 seconds.

 

Jakarta Siaga

JAKI integrates all of Jakarta’s important emergency numbers for critical times. This is a way to save many things, including lives. You can access it quickly by following these steps:

  1. open JAKI;
  2. type Emergency Contact  in the search bar;
  3. click on Jakarta Siaga; and
  4. you can call 112 immediately for assistance.

Jakarta Sehat

The Jakarta Sehat menu in JAKI offers various health services from Dinas Kesehatan Jakarta. To use its features, follow these steps:

  1. open JAKI;

  1. scroll down to the Explore by Category section;

  1. click on the Health category;

  1. choose the Jakarta Sehat features you need:

  • Mental health consultations;
  • Check blood supply and donation;
  • Check HIV and STI testing services;
  • View climate-based dengue alerts; and
  • Check disease and outbreak surveillance.


 

Medical Reports for Victims of Violence Against Women and Children

Every citizen has the right to feel safe and free from violence. This is in line with Indonesia’s Undang-undang Republik Indonesia nomor 23 tahun 2004  Tentang Penghapusan Kekerasan dalam Rumah Tangga. Violence must be prevented and victims are entitled to protection. A victim of violence can get a free medical report in Jakarta by doing these steps:

  1. report the violence to the police;

  1. obtain a request letter for the medical report from the police;

  1. prepare documents such as a copy of your Kartu Keluarga/KK (family card) and Kartu Tanda Penduduk/KTP (ID card), Kartu Identitas Anak/KIA (child identity card), or birth certificate; and

  1. visit a health facility in Jakarta with the necessary documents and the police request letter for the medical report and medical treatment.

 

Medical Treatment Guarantee for Violence Victims

Violence is a violation of human rights. Every individual deserves to feel safe and respected. The Jakarta Provincial Government protects victims of violence by providing guaranteed medical services through these steps:

  1. the victim or their family reports the violence to the police station where the incident occurred;

  1. prepare documents such as a copy of the victim’s identification: Kartu Keluarga/KK (family card), Kartu Tanda Penduduk/KTP (ID card), Kartu Identitas Anak/KIA (child identity card), or birth certificate; and

  1. visit a hospital in Jakarta with the police report and identification documents.

 

Nucleic Acid Test (NAT) Services by the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI)

Nucleic Acid Test (NAT)  is required before a blood transfusion to ensure the blood from PMI is free from HIV, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C. If you need an NAT, you can get it for free in Jakarta by following these steps:

  1. the patient or their family submits documents: a copy of the Kartu Tanda Penduduk/KTP (ID card), Kartu Keluarga/KK (family card), Kartu Identitas Anak/KIA (child identity card), or birth certificate to the hospital;

  1. the hospital requests blood from PMI based on medical indications;

  1. PMI delivers the blood to the hospital; and

  1. the hospital provides the blood transfusion to the patient.

 

Emergency Ambulance Service Guarantee

The emergency ambulance service (Ambulans Gawat Darurat/AGD) is one of the free health services provided by the Jakarta Provincial Government. This service can be used for:

  1. emergency conditions;

  1. limited mobility of lower limbs;

  1. evacuation from home to a health facility or vice versa; and

  1. transfers between health facilities not covered by Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional/JKN program.

AGD services are available for:

  1. Residents with a Jakarta ID card and family card (Kartu Keluarga/KK);

  1. Jakarta Provincial Government employees; or

  1. non-Jakarta residents with ID and KK who are victims of natural disasters, social cases, violence, or inmates in Jakarta.

In an emergency, please contact:

  1. Call Center 112/119;

  1. send a message via SMS/WhatsApp to 081 112 119 119; or

  1. use the JakAmbulans feature in the JakSehat application and the "Ambulance" feature in the JAKI super-app.

 

Health Checkup Services

Health checkups play an important role in detecting, preventing, and treating diseases early. If you need one, you can get free health checkups in Jakarta under these conditions:

  1. make sure the participant falls under one of three categories eligible for Jaminan Layanan Kesehatan Jakarta (JAMKESJAK): religious leaders, drivers affiliated with PT Transportasi Jakarta, and Data Terpadu Kesejahteraan Sosial (DTKS) participants;
  2. participant’s data will be verified;
  3. participant is registered through the Simpel Cekatan  application by officials;
  4. participant attends the scheduled checkup at Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah/RSUD (the regional hospital) with a valid ID (KTP/KK).
