What’s New in Tebet: Tebet Eco Park
As we mostly spend our time at home and office, there are times when we need a third space to accommodate our other needs. A third space is basically a public space that we can use for various activities, be it recreational activities, social activities, or educational activities. A park is an example. Of course, we want a park where green, lush trees grow along, but we also need a park that provides a space for social interactions. For this exact reason, Tebet Eco Park was born. There are three concepts presented by Tebet Eco Park. First, ecological function, that is to create a more natural environment. Second, providing a social space for everyone to interact. Third, educational and recreational function, which is to provide a learning space about a good ecological system. Let’s take a closer look into this park!
What’s Interesting about Tebet Eco Park?
Before being transformed into Tebet Eco Park, Tebet had two parks, Taman Honda and Taman Bibit. The two parks are located across from each other and are separated by Tebet Raya Street, where vehicles come and go. This is certainly not an ideal condition for people who are visiting the park, so it needs a solid infrastructure to connect the two parks. Moreover, there are a lot of improvements needed in the park, especially the facilities and the aesthetics, to create a more harmonious, inclusive, and beautiful space.
Tebet Eco Park is located on a 7 hectare land which is divided into two zones: North Zone and South Zone. In the North Zone, you’ll find Plaza, Thematic Garden, Community Lawn, and Event Lawn. Meanwhile, in the South Zone, there are Wetland Boardwalk, Children Playground, Community Garden, Community Pavilion, and River Naturalization. Feeling overwhelmed? Fret not! There are maps available to help you navigate through Tebet Eco Park!

Infinity Link Bridge: Connecting the North and South
The grand bridge which takes the form of an infinity symbol that is built over Tebet Raya connects the north zone and the south zone of Tebet Eco Park. Not only does it look striking from above, the Infinity Link Bridge has also become the main attraction in the park which will instantly catch your eye. Apart from providing a safe crossroad for people, this bridge allows you to get a refreshing scenery of Tebet Eco Park, from six meters above the ground. Also! Don’t forget to bring your camera with you and get those photogenic shoots while you’re here! As always, please be mindful and respectful during your visit.

Why is the Infinity Link Bridge colored in orange? Because it’s inspired by the colorful trunk of the Rainbow tree (Eucalyptus deglupta) that grows along the park.
North Zone: Plaza, Thematic Garden, Community Lawn, and Event Lawn
On the north side of the Tebet Eco Park, stands the Plaza, Thematic Garden, Community Lawn, and Event Lawn. Each part has its own function to meet the needs of the people. Thematic Garden serves as a recreation area where various flowers will grow. Community Lawn and Event Lawn, as the name suggests, are areas where people gather around to attend events or do some activities together. In the near future, the Plaza will be occupied by MSME shops, toilets and prayer rooms. It’s very complete, isn’t it?

Strolling around this area makes us feel like we're in the middle of the forest, thanks to the river that streams through, the tall trees that shelter the park, and the chirping sounds from the wild birds. All these components are creating a natural and harmonious atmosphere for Tebet Eco Park.

Moving on, you’ll see Children Playground in Tebet Eco Park, which will most likely become every children’s favorite. The whole area is designed as a means of education and recreation, to make little kids feel more eager and comfortable while exploring the area.
