Check out These New Features in JAKI
Strengthening its role as a super app that provides integrated information and services for Jakarta residents, JAKI has just launched several new features. These features include Ruang Ketiga, Digital ID, JakTransport, and JakEmisi. Which feature are you interested in the most? Let's take a look at this new feature one by one.
Ruang Ketiga: Register Your Visit To Jakarta Public Spaces
Perhaps there are some Smartcitizens who are not familiar with the Ruang Ketiga (Third Space). The third space itself is a term for an alternative space that can be used as a place for Jakarta residents to carry out activities. Residents live in their house which could be called the ‘first space’, then spend most of their day in ‘second space’ such as schools or offices. Then the third space can be used as a place to revive residents' interactions, both with each other, or even the surrounding environment.
Thus in essence, a third space is a public space in Jakarta which has been equipped with various facilities to support many activities, such as walking/jogging paths, free internet access via JakWifi, and easy access to public transportation. However, to visit some of the third spaces in Jakarta, registration is usually required first. But now, through Ruang Ketiga (literally means third space) at JAKI, you can register online. So far, the third spaces that you can access through JAKI are Tebet Eco Park and JakLitera, which are a collection of libraries that are managed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.
How to register? First, make sure you already have the JAKI installed on your smartphone. Open the app. Then, scroll through the main page until you find Ruang Ketiga. Click Daftar Sekarang (register now) at Tebet Eco Park or JakLitera. If you choose Tebet Eco Park, you will be asked to read and agree to the terms and conditions. Enter the number of visitors, select a visit date and session. Next, fill in your identity. You will be registered immediately. However, if you choose JakLitera, you will need to log in to your account first. Once you're logged into your account, you can follow the directions in the app to register for the library or borrow the book you want. Done! After completing registration, you can visit the library according to the schedule you have chosen.

Aside from being a one-stop information and service platform, JAKI is prepared to become a Digital ID for Jakarta residents. JakTransport: Find Out Jakarta Public Transportation Information
Supporting the use of public transportation in Jakarta, JAKI also launched the JakTransport feature. You can use this feature to check routes and schedules for MRT, LRT, and Transjakarta BRT. You just need to click Lainnya (more) on the features menu on the JAKI main page, then click JakTransport. Select the transportation for which you want to access the information. The page will immediately show information including its operating hours, maximum fares, routes, and schedules.
Why do you need JakTransport access? Accessing public transportation information via JAKI will require less application to open and there is no need to double check. Imagine if you want to travel to Tebet Eco Park by public transportation. From registering visits, checking transportation routes and schedules, to checking in the QR Code for Tebet Eco Park, you can do it directly through JAKI. Seamless and less of a hassle!
JakEmisi: Check Test Results, Location, and Register Emission Test
The last feature is JakEmisi. Unlike the previous three features, JakEmisi is not completely new. This feature is a shortcut feature, the result of collaboration between Jakarta Smart City and the World Research Institute (WRI) Indonesia. Previously, the JakEmisi feature in JAKI was used to help users calculate carbon emissions resulting from daily activities, so that users could care more about and adapt to a low-emissions lifestyle. However, over time, JakEmisi's features need to be updated, adjusting to the needs of the community. To be able to adapt to a low-emissions lifestyle, especially in the transportation sector, people need to place an order for vehicle emission tests, know the location of the emission test location, and check the test results. For this reason, the JakEmisi feature is updated by presenting these three functions.
In order to access JakEmisi, you only need to click JakEmisi on the JAKI main page. Next, you will be directed directly to the Jakarta Emission Test website. There are 3 services, which are Checking Emission Test Results, Location of Emission Test Places, and Ordering Emission Tests. Select the desired service. Next, you just need to follow the directions of the selected service. With the JakEmisi feature, it is hoped that residents will get used to it and get more adequate access to a more environmentally friendly life through vehicle emission tests.
All of these new features are already available on JAKI and you can enjoy the services. Don't have JAKI yet? Download first on Google Play Storeor Apple App Store. So, which feature do you want to try first after this?
