Muslims are currently fasting. During fasting, various useful activities are carried out, both mandatory and sunnah worship. In addition to worship, there is also a typical Indonesian activity carried out during Ramadan before breaking the fast, namely ngabuburit.

What is ngabuburit? In general, ngabuburit is an activity done to wait for the Maghrib call to prayer before breaking the fast. According to the Sundanese language, ngabuburit comes from the phrase ngalantung ngadagoan burit, which means “relaxing while waiting for the afternoon time”. The term ngabuburit then gradually spread throughout Indonesia before the 1990s, until it finally became a tradition until now.

As the center of the spread of Islam around Sunda Kelapa Harbor, this mosque is often visited by many pilgrims, to worship and pray for Habib Husein, especially on 17 Ramadan which is the Hijri date of his death. Habib Husein’s tomb is located next to the Luar Batang Mosque.

You can try three options for the right time to exercise. First, you can exercise about an hour before breaking your fast. Second, you can exercise two to three hours after your body has digested your food. Third, for those of you who don’t have much time, light exercise after sahur is a good alternative.
