The Flood Control System and JAKI successfully represented Indonesia in two categories at the IDC Asia Pacific Smart City Awards: Public Safety-Next Generation Emergency Services and Pandemic Management. Meanwhile, at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Prizes 2022, the Flood Control System was selected as a nomination for the C7 category. How to Vote for Jakarta at the WSIS Prizes and IDC Asia Pacific Smart City Awards

The WSIS Prizes and the IDC Asia Pacific Smart City Awards are two award events held by two different institutions. Therefore, the voting steps are also different. But, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Here’s a short tutorial for Smartcitizens who are ready to vote for Jakarta.

In the WSIS Prizes event, Jakarta was nominated for the C7 category. ICT applications: benefits in all aspects of life — E-science through the Flood Control System. In case you missed it, last year, JAKI won the Project Champion title in the E-Government category. So, this year, let’s bring Jakarta to be the first winner! Voting will end on March 31, 2022. To support Jakarta, follow these steps:

2. You’ll be directed to the Login page. For new users, click Register as a new user.
3. Then, select the Prizes menu, select the AL C7 category. E-science
4. Click Vote For This Project on the Flood Control System.

At the IDC Asia Pacific Smart City Awards, the Flood Control System is being nominated in the Public Safety-Next Generation Emergency Services category. Meanwhile, JAKI is being nominated in the Pandemic Management category. The voting period will end on April 7, 2022, so let’s cast your vote!

The World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) is an event organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), a specialized agency of the United Nations. The WSIS Forum is held to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by encouraging the development of information and communication technology (ICT). Every year, the WSIS Forum holds the WSIS Prizes to recognize ICT projects from around the world.

Now, moving on to the IDC Asia Pacific Smart City Awards, this agenda serves as a platform to gather the latest innovations and transformations led by cities, local governments, and ICT (Communication Information Technology) suppliers in the Asia Pacific region.
