Collaborators Behind The Celebration of #IniJakarta Festival
On December 3-5, Jakarta held a collaboration festival dubbed #IniJakarta (This is Jakarta) which took place in Taman Lapangan Banteng. This event is part of the Jakarta Collaboration Festival (FKJ). The festival becomes a symbol of celebrating collaboration in Jakarta through various actors, such as the community, government, and others. In addition, the event also aims to introduce +Jakarta (Plus Jakarta) as the identity or brand of the city. It involves many parties as collaborators, with more than 20 communities and other collaborators participating in the three days event. Who are they? Let's get to know more in this article.
Collaborators at #IniJakarta
Throughout the event, #IniJakarta provides a space for collaboration and special performances on the community stage. From these collaboration space there are several communities, such as:
Rame-Rame Jakarta
Rame-Rame Jakarta Foundation is a forum to empower informal business actors in the context of urban development through research and development. The foundation has several programs such as Kotanatomi, Micro Urbanism, and Kosakota.
Ayo ke Taman
This community – literally called ‘come to the park’, campaigns about the importance of public and urban open spaces, by conserving local trees and utilizing parks. Ayo ke Taman has been established since 2018. The activities carried out by this community include space activation, nature education, environmental education, participatory spatial planning, and sustainable city campaigns.
Jejak Warna
A social project that focuses on children's writing and literacy. There are several activities carried out by Jejak Warna, such as distributing books and raising funds to improve literacy for underprivileged children.
Pokemon Go Indonesia
Do you like to play Pokemon Go? Well, if so, you can join the Pokemon Go Indonesia community. This community was founded in 2019 and houses trainers (Pokemon Go players) from around Indonesia.
KumpulBaca
A community engaged in literacy through the #SejamMembaca (An Hour of Reading) campaign. This campaign aims to increase the positive habit of reading books. In addition, this community also has discussions held on an online platform.
Gizipedia
Founded by Hafizhatunnisa, S.Gz. together with his two friends in 2019, Gizipedia is a community to educate people about nutrition. This community has received an award from Persagi (Association of Indonesian Nutritionists) in the service of nutrition education for the community.
Food Bank of Indonesia (FOI)
This organization was founded in 2015. The mission of the Food Bank of Indonesia organization is to fight hunger problems for the poor and improve nutrition for children. There are several activities carried out by FOI such as food kitchens, food banks, and red of emergency disaster (RED).
Puan-puan Bersepeda
This community was founded in 2021 by the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP). The goal is to open a safe space for women to cycle around city.
Jakarta Inline Skate Community
For those of you who like to do inline skating, you can join the Jakarta Inline Skate Community (Jisco). This community was formed in 2015, when many residents were seen rollerblading at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) stadium complex. Jisco regularly trains at GBK, both amateur and professional roller skaters.
Peri Kertas
The community was founded in 2009 and initiated by papercraft lovers in Indonesia. Initially started from online discussions, because at that time there were very few papercraft resources. Now, apart from online, the activities are also carried out offline. Online activities now serve as a place to share information, work, and learn about papercraft. While offline activities are in the form of exhibitions of works.
Sehat Jiwa
The community that was founded in 2018 provides services for mental health care. In addition to mental health counseling services, Sehat Jiwa is also a place to collaborate and join in a forum to discuss topics related to mental health.
Rekosistem
A startup that is engaged in environmental sustainability through the implementation of zero waste management. Rekosistem provides consultancy for waste management and environmental impact control.
Sobat Diabet
A community that cares about diabetes prevention for young people. Sobat Diabet, which has been active in campaigning since 2014, was founded by dr. Rudy Kurniawan, Sp.PD. and Marlene. Activities carried out by this community include webinars, education on healthy living, and cooking classes.
Potopotokota
This community is engaged in photography about the city. Potopotokota's activities can be seen on their Instagram page, @potopotokota. Here you will see various stories of the city through photographic works. You can also share photos using the hashtag #potopotokota.
Bale Buku Jakarta
Bale Buku Jakarta will be inaugurated in 2021 in Dukuh Village, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta. This community was founded and chaired by Fajar Alvarisi. The goal is to make it easier for people to get access to quality reading
Bike2work
Established in 2005, Bike2work is a community consisting of a group of people who enjoy cycling. One of their main campaigns is to reduce dependence on motorized vehicles for commuting to work. Bike2work activities are varied, such as cycling, discussions, and education.
Divers Clean Action
The Divers Clean Action Foundation focuses on the issue of marine debris. The foundation, which was founded in 2015, has more than 1,000 volunteers throughout Indonesia. Divers Clean Action collaborates with other parties such as universities, local communities, and institutions working in the environmental field.
Jakarta Local Guides
A community that is a place for people who want to explore, share tips, photos, and new places through Google Maps. The activities carried out by Jakarta Local Guides are quite diverse and can be seen on their Instagram page at @jakartalocalguides.
Kargo Baca
A unique community that has a mission to spread the love of reading through bicycles. Kargo Baca was founded by Edy Dymiati who is also the founder of Taman Baca Kampung Buku. Kargo Baca activities are held in public spaces and centered in Cibubur, Kampung Rambutan Reservoir, and Setu Pedongkelan. The books brought by Kargo Baca are quite diverse, so they can attract the interest of children to the elderly, such as folklore, prophet stories, general knowledge, and skills.
Teman Piknikmu
Teman Piknikmu is an organization that drives initiations for picnics. To find out about Teman Piknikmu activities, you can find them through their Instagram account at @temanpiknikmu.
Marine Buddies Jakarta
There is another community with a mission to save the ocean, namely Marine Buddies. This community was formed by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in 2016. These communities are located in several cities, such as Denpasar, Makassar, Medan, Surabaya, and Jakarta. The activities are quite diverse, from beach cleaning, education about marine ecosystems and waste management, to traveling to various regions.
yangbelumsempat
If you have a story that you haven't had time to tell, you can share it through yangbelumsempat community. This community exists as a network of friends that together maintain each mental health based on 'positive psychology'. This community emerged as a movement to share stories, while at the same time getting used to the process of reflection and mindfulness through Instagram.
Ibu Ibukota
This community is moving to share the perspective of women in Jakarta through literacy. At the festival event in collaboration with +Jakarta, Ibu Ibukota featured 21 literacy movers. In addition, you can read the stories of literacy drivers in various fields through ibuibukota.id site.
Jakarta Sadar Sampah
A collaborative movement between the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and the community to create a waste-free Jakarta. Its activities are in the form of real action movements to sort, reduce, and manage waste.
Bookhive
If you like reading books at Situ Lembang Park, you must have know already the Bookhive community. This movement was initiated by Farid Hamka in 2021. The foundation was driven by Farid's love for reading and Jakarta. Bookhive's idea was inspired by several countries in Europe, such as England and Germany. You can find the Bookhive library boxes in several places, such as Taman Lapangan Banteng and other parks in Jakarta.
In addition, the #IniJakarta festival also presented a community stage for exhibitions from JDCNEO, Ukuiki, Kaleb J, and Miss Ria. From the list of collaborations above, you can see many parties play important roles in various fields, from literacy, environment, art, to health.
