Finally, the grand stadium and Jakarta's pride had its grand launching that took place on July 24, 2022, which was broadcast from the DKI Jakarta Youtube channel and CNN Indonesia. On that day, Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) became the host of an exhibition match between Persija Jakarta and Chonburi FC from Thailand that ended 3-3, and musical performance from Dewa 19 featuring Virzha, Setia Band, and Kotak in this event. From Band Performances to Laser Shows

The launching of the Jakarta International Stadium was attended by thousands of spectators and football fans. The event was opened with the national anthem Indonesia Raya sung by Tantri from Kotak band. After that, followed by the performance of several songs from Kotak such as “Tendangan dari Langit” and “Beraksi”.

After the opening performance of the Kotak, there was a brief introduction to the JIS stadium which has multi-function with FIFA-standard grass and the first retractable roof system in Indonesia for sports matches, religious events, or music concerts. After this brief introduction, the event continued with a performance of Dewa 19 featuring Virzha who performed their hit songs, “Separuh Nafas”, “Kamulah Satu-Satunya”, and “Roman Picisan”.

The festivities didn't stop after Dewa 19 as the concert continued with a performance by Setia Band who performed some of their signature songs, such as “Aku Masih Sayang”, “Rasa yang Tertinggal”, “P.U.S.P.A”, and “Cari Pacar Lagi”. There was something special about Setia Band's performance because the vocalist invited his son, Restu van Houten to sing some songs.

After the Setia band's performance, the festivities go on through the sunset. These well-known bands in Indonesia have again performed their signature hits, such as Dewa 19 with Virzha performing the songs “Pupus” and “Risalah Hati”. Not to forget, the vocalist invited the audience to sing together on the song “Kangen”. Similar to Dewa 19, Kotak was not to be outdone by performing the song Terbang and was closed by the Setia Band performing the song Putri Iklan. Until finally, the concert event was paused because there was a prayer call for Maghrib
 

But the excitement did not subside afterwards, the more the night, the more the audience crowded this event. The music concert continued with a performance by Setia Band, which invited the audience to turn on flashlights on their phones throughout the songs “Kebesaran-Mu” and “Bintang Kehidupan”
 

The evening event was even more lively with a laser show until it was closed with a speech by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan. On that occasion, the Governor conveyed a message to always support and maintain a world-class stadium that is the pride of Jakartans, especially supporters of the Persija Jakarta football club.
