Jakarta Smart City/JSC was established to preserve the smart city 4.0  ecosystem. This is also regulated in Peraturan Gubernur  Nomor 280 Tahun 2014 tentang Pembentukan, Organisasi dan Tata Kerja Unit Pengelola Jakarta Smart City. Thanks to the cooperation and support from Smartcitizens, Jakarta Smart City was able to achieve a series of achievements in 2023. Becoming Global with Jakarta Smart City

Jakarta will continue to be an economic and business center. That is why, as a smart city, Jakarta is also actively transforming into a global city. Based on the characteristics of a global city from Bappeda (Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Daerah/Regional Development Planning Agency) of DKI Jakarta Province 2023, Jakarta Smart City carries out several roles to become Jakarta a Global City, namely:

1. become a well-established and globally connected economic sector,

2. have good and continuous research and innovation capacity,

3. comfortable to live in,

4. attractive Cultural Value for visitors,

5. a clean, comfortable and sustainable environment, and

6. connected intra and intercity.

 

The six roles above were run concretely by Jakarta Smart City. Several platforms have been introduced as a medium for Jakarta citizens. An example is the Kelas Warga platform for sharing knowledge for free. Additionally, several dashboards have been presented by Jakarta Smart City to provide up-to-date information. For instance, the Cepat Respon Masyarakat dashboard that provides information on the dimensions of public complaints.

Stakeholders and academics were also invited to attend the Jakarta Smart City Forum 2023. Everyone had the opportunity to discuss Jakarta's journey as a global city. In 2023, here are 10 innovations produced by Jakarta Smart City for Jakarta residents:

1. Kelas Warga  (citizen class) platform;
2. City Data  platform;
3. Cepat Respon Masyarakat  dashboard;
4. Profil Warga (citizen profile) dashboard;
5. Pantau Banjir(flood monitoring) dashboard;
6. Jakarta Kini  map;
7. Mitigasi Kemiskinan (poverty mitigation) dashboard;
8. Stunting  dashboard;
9. Jakarta Kini  Super Application Third Generation; and
10. Jakarta Smart City Forum.

 

Milestones in 2023

Every month in 2023, Jakarta Smart City aced in presenting a number of innovations. For example, in January, SmartEmployee was successfully launched. This application is useful for employee attendance and administration in Jakarta Smart City. There were also awards won. In March, Jakarta Smart City proudly won the WSIS Prizes 2023. The Jakarta Smart City Forum 2023 was successfully held in November, showcasing Jakarta's efforts to become a global city.

Highlights of 2023

The various achievements of Jakarta Smart City can also be measured by numbers. For example, in 2023, there will be 12 studies and research successfully carried out. Everything is related to public complaints, city planning, air quality, transportation, data science, and image processing. Then, there are 4,625 CCTVs in Jakarta that have been successfully monitored. For a full year, Jakarta Smart City was visited by 200 agencies with a total of 8,558 participants.

BLUD Service Report

Jakarta Smart City has officially become a BLUD (Badan Layanan Umum Daerah/Regional Public Service Agency). Until December 30 2023, the realised revenue reached Rp607.261.000. Below are the details:

1. Consultation services to increase digital literacy for Badan Pengembangan dan Pembinaan Bahasa, Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi with the amount of Rp10,000,000; and

2. Development of a Personal Data Control Management Information System Phase 2 through Self-Management Type II with the amount Rp597.261.000.

 

There was also an approach taken by Jakarta Smart City. This was done to expand the dissemination of service information in this way:

1. Conduct hearings and mapping of potential services with private parties through the property sector;

2. Carry out potential service mapping with other agencies in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government; and

3. Conduct hearings and mapping of potential services with Regional Owned Enterprises (Badan Usaha Milik Daerah) through Bank DKI.

 

Research Publications

In the field of data science, there have been a number of significant breakthroughs made by Jakarta Smart City. In 2023, Jakarta Smart City successfully did researches in the Q1 category, published in the international scientific journal IEEE. This is one proof of Jakarta Smart City as an initiator of the application of technology and data science to create a sustainable smart city. Awards Achieved by Jakarta Smart City

After making efforts to improve product and service innovation, Jakarta Smart City received appreciation in the form of a number of awards. These awards were achieved through competitions from within and outside the country, namely:

1. Champion Category Building Confidence and Security in the use of ICT;

2. Recognition of Excellence award (forum: JAKI);

3. Recognition of Excellence award (forum: Data Science Traniee);

4. Most Innovative Province

5. Best Implementation of SPBE Services at Provincial Level, Digital Government Awards;

6. Recognition of Excellence award;

7. Digital Leader of the Year; And

8. Province with the highest Innovation Index score in the Java Island Region.
