Tour of the MRO Room and CCTV Monitoring System
During the visit, Governor Pramono Anung inspected the Monitoring & Response Operation (MRO) room, the control center at the heart of the city’s citizen complaint management system. In this room, he observed the city’s data-driven monitoring system, including real-time CCTV footage from various locations across Jakarta, to ensure that all systems are functioning optimally in supporting rapid response to incidents on the ground.

Governor Pramono showed great interest while listening to explanations about how public reports are handled through the Citizen Response Management (CRM) system, from submission and verification to follow-up by relevant agencies. “With a system like this, we can ensure public services that are fast, trackable, and transparent,” the Governor said in conversation with the Jakarta Smart City team.
This integrated monitoring system not only accelerates incident response but also plays a crucial role in data-based decision-making. The presence of such technology strengthens the Jakarta Provincial Government’s efforts to build a city that is more adaptive, secure, and citizen-centric.
Support for JAKI as Jakarta’s Super App
In addition to CRM, the Governor also reviewed the latest feature developments in the JAKI (Jakarta Kini) app. This super app serves as one of the main digital public service platforms and continues to be updated to meet the evolving needs of Jakarta’s residents.
Some of the newly highlighted features included follow-up reviews on citizen reports, emergency buttons for contacting Jakarta Siaga 112 and ambulances, and shortcuts to mobile JKN (National Health Insurance). These enhancements are part of the Governor’s 100-day Quick Win program, which prioritizes the digital transformation of public services.
“JAKI must serve as a bridge between citizens and the government. We want every resident to feel heard and served with ease,” he said. He also emphasized how JAKI has been instrumental in bringing services closer to the people in a timely and accurate manner.
Impressions from the MRO Team
This visit brought a renewed sense of motivation for the JSC staff, particularly the MRO team, who serve as the frontline in responding to public reports. Saffar Masyhur, Operational and Response Manager of Jakarta Smart City, shared that Governor Pramono Anung’s presence left a positive impression, especially due to his grounded and direct interaction.
“As soon as Governor Pramono entered the MRO room, the Governor greeted us and encouraged everyone to stay focused and carry on with our work as usual. The Governor then spoke directly with Fauzan, one of our Junior Operations and Service staff, who explained the process of handling citizen reports and how they are followed up by the relevant agencies,” said Saffar.
During the visit, the Governor also asked several questions about complaint channels and the use of CCTV in Jakarta, such as the number of active cameras, their strategic locations, and how surveillance footage is used to support rapid response in the field.
Governor Pramono, accompanied by Acting Head of the Jakarta Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Agency (Diskominfotik), Budi Awaluddin, also discussed plans to increase the number of CCTV units across key areas in Jakarta. Currently, the initiative is in the site assessment phase to determine suitable locations for additional installations.
Wahyu Ikawati, Senior Public Opinion Response Officer, added that the Governor’s genuine concern for public service systems was evident through his in-depth inquiries. “The Governor asked about the workflow in CRM, the percentage of resolved reports, and was also shown live access to several CCTV points,” she explained.
Overall, the MRO team viewed the visit as a meaningful moment that strengthened the connection between the city’s leadership and operational teams. Jakarta Smart City hopes that this kind of communication will continue, fostering a more responsive and integrated public service in the capital.
