As Jakarta's super app, JAKI provides public services from various aspects, including health. More than just focusing on handling the Covid-19 pandemic, JAKI also provides a blood supply shortcut feature, collaborating with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI). Through this feature, Smartcitizen can check the blood donor schedule and find out the available blood stock at PMI. Let’s take a closer look at this feature.

How to Access the Feature in JAKI?

When you open the JAKI application, you may find a lot of features. Here are some steps you can follow to find the feature of donor service and blood stock easier.

  1. Open the JAKI APP
  2. Scroll down the main page until you find the Jakarta Provincial Government Service sub-menu
  3. Swipe left until you find the PMI feature. Click features.
  4. Select the service you want.
  5. You will be directed to the Blood Stock or Donor Schedule page on the PMI of Jakarta Province website.
  6. Next, you just need to look for blood stocks or a donor schedule following the instructions on the website.

What Information Is Available?

If you choose the blood stock service, you will find pages containing blood information available throughout the DKI Jakarta area. To make it easier for you to find the right blood group and the closest location, there is a filter feature that can be used. Filtering is done by location. You just need to select the desired region, then the table will show the amount of stock of each blood type available in each hospital in that region.

If you choose the donor schedule service, the page will display information on the schedule and location of blood donors on the day of access and the next few days. You can do filtering by selecting the desired donor date. The table will immediately list each donor location in Jakarta on that date along with each starting time, potential donors, and the number of donors.

JAKI: Integrates Jakarta Health Services

In addition to providing blood services, JAKI also provides several features to meet the emergency health needs of residents. For example the feature to check the availability of beds in hospitals, plasma donors, and request an ambulance.

Bed Availability Feature

During the pandemic, the number of inpatient cases in Jakarta hospitals exploded. People who need to be hospitalized also have difficulty finding hospitals with empty hospital beds. To help make finding hospital beds easier, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has developed the Bed Availability feature for Covid-19 and non-Covid-19 patients. This feature can be found in the Jakarta Responding Covid-19 sub-menu on the JAKI main page and is integrated with the Bed Availability pageon the Jakarta Responding Covid-19 website.

Plasma Donor Feature

Another feature that was generated from reflecting on the pandemic situation is Plasma Donor. Covid-19 patients with high severity can undergo convalescent plasma donors from Covid-19 survivors. When Covid-19 cases peaked a few months ago, many critically ill patients ran out of convalescent plasma donors. This condition became the driving force for the development of the Plasma Donor feature in JAKI. Through this feature, you can get information about plasma donors and register as a donor. You just need to click the Plasma Donor feature on the Jakarta Responding Covid-19 sub-menu on the JAKI main page, and you will be directed to the Plasma Donor pageon the Jakarta Responding Covid-19 website.

JakAmbulans Feature

In order to strive for the health and safety of citizens, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also provides the JakAmbulans feature at JAKI. This feature allows you to call an ambulance at your fingertips by clicking on a panic button to handle emergency medical conditions. What are meant by emergency conditions such as traffic accidents, natural disasters, crimes to victims of fire or other extraordinary events. You can find this feature in the main features of JAKI. You will be asked to enter your mobile number. Your current location will be immediately detected. Next, you will be asked to press the emergency button for 3 seconds before the ambulance will be immediately sent to your place. Very helpful, right? But remember, use this feature only for emergencies.

That’s all you need to know about the blood supply service feature along with several other critical health-related features at JAKI that may be needed. The Jakarta Provincial Government will continue to update these features according to your needs. Don't have the JAKI app yet? Download it on Google Play Storeor Apple App Storefor free!
