Jakarta had just opened this year’s public school enrollment (PPDB). PPDB aims to create an equal opportunity for people from all backgrounds, so that they all could achieve the same quality of education. The Jakarta Provincial Government is already working hard to make sure that this year's PPDB runs smoothly. However, considering a large number of registrants, the government is also prepared with several complaint channels for people who wish to report difficulties throughout the PPDB program. Such as obstacles when accessing the website or problems related to letters or documents that need to be uploaded. So, if Smartcitizen encounters any troubles, do not ever feel hesitate to report it to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, so that you can get immediate follow-up and help to make sure that the PPDB program can run better.

The government itself has 14 complaint channels. You can report PPDB problems that you experience through one of these channels.

  1. JAKI;
  2. Twitter @dkijakarta;
  3. Jakarta Provincial Government’s Facebook;
  4. E-mail via dki@jakarta.go.id;
  5. Governor’s Social Media;
  6. SMS via 08111272206;
  7. jakarta.go.id web;
  8. Qlue;
  9. Sub-district Office;
  10. District Office;
  11. Mayor’s Office;
  12. The City Hall;
  13. Inspectorate Office; and
  14. Report 1708.

The question is, how to report PPDB problems properly and correctly? To find out, take a moment to read this article!

JAKI: Easier and Safer Way to Report PPDB Problems

In order to keep the reporting process simple, you can use the JakLapor feature in the JAKI application. JAKI is a mobile application with integrated data and services. By using JAKI, you can report PPDB problems as well as access various other features, including JakRespons to monitor the status of your reports.

These are the steps to report PPDB problems via JAKI:

  1. Open the JAKI application
  2. Select the camera button to report a problem
  3. Choose the desired pictures
  4. Choose “PPDB” category
  5. Write down the description of the report
  6. Preview the report before sending it. If the picture, description, and category already matched the report, click “Selanjutnya” (Next).
  7. Select “Sembunyikan” (Hide) if you want to report anonymously. Choose “Tampilkan” (Show) if you want to post it publicly.
  8. Check “Saya Setuju” (I Agree).
  9. Click “Kirim Laporan” (Send Report).

JAKI is highly recommended to use. Not only does it have integrated features, but it also has a report hiding feature in JakLapor. This feature allows you to report anonymously, so that your identity is safe. You can download JAKI via Google Play Storeor Apple Store

Things You Must and Must Not Do

Regardless of which complaint channel you use to report problems in Jakarta, it is important for you to pay attention to the do’s and don'ts of reporting PPDB problems.

Do’s while reporting PPDB problems:

  1. Take the picture of the problem only;
  2. Send a clear (ie. not blurry) picture of PPDB problems;
  3. Make sure to include a description of the report and explain the subject matter completely and accurately;

  1. Monitor the report’s progress via JakRespons.

Meanwhile, these are the don’ts while reporting PPDB problems:

  1. Sending a picture of the prospective new students or their parents;
  2. Sending a picture that aren’t clear or blurry;
  3. Submit incomplete and inaccurate report descriptions;
  4. Revealing identity of prospective new students or their parents in pictures or report descriptions.

And that’s the right way to report PPDB problems properly. For those of you who experienced problems during the PPDB process, again, please feel free to report it. Because every report you send will help increase the quality and the success of PPDB in Jakarta.
