Be Bold to Report!

Burning wasteillegally affects the decrease in air quality due to the emissions it produces. These emissions include various compounds such as N2O, NOx, NH3, and organic carbon which can pollute the air and threaten public health. Apart from that, CO₂is the main gas from burning waste, the result of which is higher than other gas emissions. That is why, for better air quality, it's advisable to reduce garbage burning activities.

This issue has been regulated in Article 126, paragraph e, of Regional Regulation Number 3 of 2013 regarding Waste Management by the Jakarta Provincial Government. This regulation states that it is prohibited for anyone to burn garbage that pollutes the environment. If you violate, you will be charged Rp500.000. This penalty is regulated in the same way as violations regarding waste management, regulated in Article 130. So, never hesitate to report! If you want to better understand how to report on all problems and violations in Jakarta, please follow the social media accounts @cepatresponjkt@jakisuperapp, and @jsclab.
