A Glimpse into the TransJakarta Monas Explorer Bus

The TransJakarta Monas Explorer bus with the code BW10 started operating on October 17 2023. This bus complements the existing TransJakarta tourist bus collections, which are Sejarah Jakarta (BW01), Pencakar Langit (BW04), and Kota Tua-PIK (BW09). The TransJakarta Tour Bus itself operates to explore tourist and iconic places in Jakarta. To support the travel experience, the tour busses consist of two levels with an open roof on the second level. Usually, passengers can also listen to audio that describes the background of the location the bus is passing through. 

Same as the Sejarah Jakarta, Pencakar Langit, and Kota Tua - PIK buses, Monas Explorer (BW10) operates every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, one thing that differentiates the three buses is their routes. Sejarah Jakarta (BW01) passes Juanda Istiqlal, Bank Indonesia Museum, and Kali Besar Barat bus stops. Pencakar Langit (BW04) passes the IRTI, Karet, to Senayan bus stops. Kota Tua-PIK (BW09) passes Kali Besar Barat 1, Buddha Tzu Chi, Gold Coast, Food Street, PIK 2 Pantjoran, Melody Golf, Pantai Maju, Melody Golf 2, Seberang Food Street, The Piano, Fresh Market PIK, PIK Avenue, and Kali Besar Barat 1 bus stops. Meanwhile, Monas Explorer (BW10) passes the IRTI, Gambir, Juanda Istiqlal, and Monas bus stops, which means you can use this bus to go on a trip to Monas, do religious tourism to the Istiqlal Mosque or go out of town via Gambir Station.

To be able to use the TransJakarta Monas Explorer bus service, you only need to bring an Electronic Money Card. However, you will not be charged to use the TransJakarta tourist bus, including the Monas Explorer.
