As we enter 2021, Jakarta Government is again tightening the rules for Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) for the January 11 - 25 period. There are a number of factors behind this policy, such as a significant increase in the number of Covid-19 cases a few weeks earlier. We can start looking at the data recorded on December 14-20, 2020. At that time, the percentage of positive cases was at 10.17 percent. Then the following week, this figure increased 1.88 percent to 12.05 percent. Furthermore, at New Year's Week (28 December 2020-3 January 2021), the percentage of positive cases increased again to 13.44 percent. In the last week before the tightening of the PSBB, this figure fell to 12.63 percent.

However, looking at the trend that has occurred, there is still a possibility that the positive percentage could increase again in the following weeks. Therefore, the government chose to take anticipatory steps. Simultaneously, monitoring efforts to raise awareness and rule enforcement also needs to be improved to prevent the misconception that the risk of Covid-19 decreases or even disappears.

No Room for Complacency

We can start this monitoring by ourselves. Double-check your daily activities. Are they still in accordance with established health protocols? If you found one or more that isn't, try to find ways to do these activities safely, for example, reducing physical contact by meeting online. If this is not possible, then you better to postpone these activities until the end of the pandemic.

Otherwise, if you are sure that all your activities are safe to do during this pandemic, then the next question is, what about other people? Have the people around you followed the PSBB rules? What should you do if you find violations or problems that can endanger people's health?

To answer this, Jakarta's Government is now applying Smart Collaboration's principle by inviting active public participation in the supervision of the PSBB. Regarding the mechanism, the government has long relied on the Citizen Relation Management (CRM) system to accommodate reports from citizens and coordinate officers of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) to respond to said reports.

Report Safely and Stress-free with JAKI

There are 14 complaint channels that are integrated into the CRM system. From social media channels such as Twitter, SMS short messages to writing an email. You are free to choose which way you think is the easiest to send the report. However, there are several reasons why the Jakarta Kini (JAKI) application has proven to be a popular choice for the majority of Jakartans to report on issues surrounding the enforcement of PSBB regulations, including:

Practical and Fast

As already mentioned, JAKI is not the only way for you to submit a complaint regarding the implementation of the PSBB. However, suppose you come across a PSBB violation while in a public place and need a quick reaction to report it. In that case, it is certainly not a practical option if you have to spend too long on writing detailed information in a more traditional way. This is where JAKI excels with the JakLapor feature, which allows you to make reports by using the camera on your smartphone. You can take a photo of the PSBB violation from a safe distance, write a description, and select a category. Within seconds, your report will be immediately received by the relevant OPD to be followed up.

Protecting Your Identity

When making a PSBB violation report, you may feel hesitant before pressing that send button. You are worried that your personal data will be revealed, you are worried that the person or party you are reporting will know your identity, and so on. This feeling is well understood, so it has become one of the priorities in the development of JAKI in the last year.

Jakarta Smart City, the developer of JAKI, always prioritizes each user's personal data's security and confidentiality. JSC always strives to provide a stress-free reporting experience. Therefore, several innovations are presented to address this concern, including the Hide Report capability and Anonymous Comments function.

Normally, the reports you create through JakLapor will not include sensitive information such as usernames or phone numbers. And for added security, JAKI now provides users with an option to hide the reports they have created. In other words, reports sent with this feature will not be visible to other users, except the officer who will follow up on the report.

Not only that, but JSC has also uploaded several guidelines that must be followed by users to maintain information security. Like not taking photos of letters, books, cards, or other objects that show your personal data.

Monitor Reports

During the implementation of PSBB, several business sectors have received a workplace capacity limit of up to 25%, and today is your shift to work in the office. However, when walking towards your workplace, it turns out that you find a crowd of more than five people who are not wearing masks.

It's time to use JAKI to make a report. Take photos from a safe distance, then send them with the Hide Report feature so that your identity is protected. Of course, you are curious about the officer's response. Thanks to JAKI, every report you make can be monitored directly from the same application. From there, you can see the progress of the report, the assigned OPD, and finally, a photo of the follow-up. Don't forget to give appreciation to the officers who have responded to your report.

Stay Informed

By using JAKI, you not only get access to make reports of PSBB violations easily and quickly but also access to information on the latest developments in the Covid-19 case in Jakarta. If you have finished submitting the report, it would be nice if you don't immediately exit the application. From the main page, you can scroll the set of banners at the top to find a shortcut to the official corona.jakarta.go.id site. This information portal contains the latest data regarding the spread of the Coronavirus, and importantly, the latest official documents regarding the PSBB rules as a reference for you.

Taking Care of Your Health

If you have helped the government efforts to monitor the PSBB regulations, you can also monitor the condition of yourself and your surroundings by accessing the Jakarta Covid-19 Response feature on JAKI. Yes, for those of you who might have missed the JAKI update, now you have the Jakarta Covid-19 Response feature. The list of supporting features includes the Covid Likelihood Metric (JakCLM), which results from the collaboration of JSC with the Harvard CLM Team to conduct self-risk tests. Or, if you want to see detailed cases in your immediate environment while supporting contact tracing efforts, then you can take advantage of the contact tracing feature through the PeduliLindungi application.

That is the advantage of reporting PSBB violations with JAKI. Data throughout 2020 shows that the number of reports sent through JAKI is 2,898, or around 34 percent of the total PSBB reports received in CRM. You can be one of them and take part right now by downloading one of Indonesia's best apps from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Remember always to follow health protocols and adhere to the established PSBB rules because only our collaboration and cooperation can end this pandemic.
